ENGLISH VERSION:
Surrealist postcards from Turkey
Friends and companions from the Turkish Surrealist Group, perhaps the most recent formed surrealist group (they are all very young, born after 1980, some with academic background, others doing surrealist and dadaist graffitis), sent to us digital copies of the above mentioned turkish newspapers. For now these are the only newspapers, maybe worldwidely, that published something concrete and serious about the exhibition dedicated to Mario Cesariny, and that taken place at the local museum in Estremoz, Portugal.
The whole articles can be seen following the links above.
Special Note:
Let us clear this point: the mention to Carlos Martins as a "leader in the 21st-century Portuguese surrealist movement", is too far from being true and just reflects a gesture of simpathy from the surrealist turkish members with the initiative taken by Carlos Martins to invite them for this event and the personal efforts to bring them to that. The author himself already wrote on this issue although he assume that he is just an artist and an activist of the portuguese surrealist mouvement and his relations with other portuguese members are purely based on friendship and companionship, some more closely than others, as for example, Cruzeiro Seixas, Nicolau Saião, João Garção, Raul Perez, Inácio Matsinhe, Miguel de Carvalho, Eurico Gonçalves, Almeida e Sousa.
